Having Faith to Carry you Through

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Faith is defined as complete trust or confidence in someone or something. From a religious perspective, I would define faith as completely trusting in God even when you don’t have control of the situation or can’t see the means to an end. Even though I understand this concept, I still have to CONSISTENTLY remind myself that I need to just have faith in God’s plan that He will carry me through anything I may face. It’s not always easy and our faith will constantly be tested throughout our lives. In the good times and the bad, God has promised that He will never leave or forsake us as long as we believe in Him.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

I encourage you to continue to have fierce, unmoving faith in all circumstances. Everything happens for a reason according to God’s GOOD plan for us, even if we don’t understand it.

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
